Principal Friesen's Weekly Update, 11/15/18

We had a great turn out at Tuesday’s community meeting with SDOT regarding adding safe walking areas on the streets surrounding Sacajawea.

Dear Sacajawea Community,

We had a great turn out at Tuesday’s community meeting with SDOT regarding adding safe walking areas on the streets surrounding Sacajawea. Want to know more or express your thoughts? You can connect with Ashley Rhead from Safe Routes to School at Ashley.Rhead@seattle.gov.

I’m looking forward to seeing you at parent conferences on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday! This is a great time to connect with your children’s teachers and learn about their progress so far this year. For more information and considerations, see my letter to parents from last week.

We won’t have a Community Newsletter next week, so here’s wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving!

In Partnership,

Rachel Friesen, Principal
Sacajawea Elementary School

Sacajawea's Annual Holiday Giving Wreath

Every Holiday Season, our school offers a Giving Wreath for those in our school community who may need extra assistance in making special holiday wishes come true.

Every Holiday Season, our school offers a Giving Wreath for those in our school community who may need extra assistance in making special holiday wishes come true. This year, we will have 39 tags on our wreath, with each tag being a special wish for a holiday present for a child.

Beginning on Monday, November 19th until Friday, December 7th, stop by the Giving Wreath, located outside of the school's office, and please consider choosing a tag to bless a child. All presents must be dropped off in the office no later than Monday, Dec.10th. Thank you!

Questions? Please email Claudine Miller at cemiller1@seattleschools.org.
