SDOT Safe Routes to School Community Meeting

Want more walkways in the Sacajawea neighborhood? Come talk with your neighbors and Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) about an idea to install separated walking spaces on several streets around the school (17th, 20th, 90th, 95th, 98th), as soon as next year. We’re meeting in the lunchroom Tuesday, Nov. 13th from 6-7pm.

These walkways would look like the new walkway on NE 96th St behind the school that SDOT installed in September. Parking would have to be removed on one side of the street to fit in the walkway, so let’s all discuss whether neighbors can live with less parking in exchange for a network of connected walkways to access the school, park, and bus stops on 15th and Lake City.
