Line up a babysitter and get ready to support Sacajawea and the many programs we love, value and cherish. It's a party, fundraiser, and an opportunity to build a stronger community! Look for a flyer and emails after the winter break for more information and to purchase tickets.

What is this auction event and why should I go?
This is the largest annual fundraiser hosted by the Sacajawea PTA. We hope to raise upwards of $45,000 at this event – a large part of our annual $97,000 goal. Every dollar raised by the PTA will help support Sacajawea and the programs we hold dear (instrumental music instruction, field trip busses, Arts Festival, Math and Science Fair, Educator Appreciation Week, Pack for Kids Program and more!)
What’s the event like?
The event is fun and welcoming to all (except kids – this one is adults only!) We’ll start off with delicious food, cocktails and mingling. The fundraising part of the evening will include a paddle raise to provide support at different funding levels, a dessert dash and most importantly, the student art auction. We'll round out the night with dessert and dancing!
What's the Student Art Auction?
It’s a Sacajawea tradition for each classroom to create works of art to be auctioned off at the annual event. This year, many students are working in partnership with their parents, classmates and Sac's art teacher, Mr. Ryan to create unique lanterns, woven tapestries and metal embossed art with South American inspirations. Don’t miss the advanced preview of these pieces in the school office during the week of February 28!
What should I wear?
Dress is casual. The party theme Carnaval do Rio so wear vibrant colors, masks, feathers!
(Please keep in mind that while traditional dress from your heritage is welcomed, donning another's cultural clothing without understanding the significance may offend. Questions? Please email cyshanahan@seattleschools.org)
Should I bring my kids?
Nope. We love our Sacajawea kids but this is an event for the grown-ups only. Line up that babysitter!
