What Is a Buddy Bench?
A Buddy Bench is a place students can go to take a breather, sit and survey the playground to see what they’d like to join, or signal that they could use a “buddy” to play with. Seeing someone at the buddy bench is a reminder to others to SHINE and invite that person to join in the fun.
The Recess Crew is working toward raising $500 to install a “Buddy Bench” on Sacajawea’s upper playground.
All funds raised will go toward purchasing and installing a bench, and paint to add games like tic toe and checker on the ground.
